Have you ever been silenced? Have you ever shouted from the sidelines only to have your voice drowned out by injustice? Join us in welcoming Dawn Addis to the July 18 SLO Women’s Network Luncheon to hear her incredible story of movement toward social and environmental justice for all people. Dawn truly believes that together we can make an unmistakable difference to life, effecting change and magnifying a voice of positivity and equipoise. When we say, “YES” to our calling and ourselves, we are truly unstoppable. Come be inspired as Dawn takes us from the sidelines, to the headlines and beyond!
Dawn Addis is a founder of Women's March San Luis Obispo (WMSLO), a new non-profit organization with the courageous mission of promoting human rights, and social and environmental justice for all people. In 2016, Ms. Addis took a leap of faith and decided to enter the public arena of community organizing putting her skills and voice to work to draw 10,000 people to the first March. Since then, Ms. Addis has continued as a community activist and, working alongside passionate colleagues, has crafted WMSLO into a Central Coast organization focused on building a positive and just future. Their most recent event, March for Our Lives SLO, to end gun violence, brought thousands to rally together in Mitchell Park for a more peaceful world.
